HOW TO WIN: You assemble a deck with 40 cards which includes 1 Fighter, 1 Stage and an assortment of attack and utility cards. You can have 3 copies of each card and first to reduce their rivals HP from 100 to 0 wins the game!

First showcased on The Game Crafter and Strange Adventures (formerly Atomic Comics), we had a launch event that sold out in 35 minutes! Winner of numerous Game Crafter Accolades, reviewed positively among fellow players, PLU is a fast paced 1v1 TCG where you assume the role of a fighter within the PLU universe and battle it out in various stages within said universe, unleash powerful attacks, turn the tide with utility cards and devastate your rival with your ultimate card! Powerline Ultra (PLU) is a trading card game (TCG) inspired by fighting games, American comic books, anime and manga and set in a fantastical world where you have Humans, Super-Humans, people transformed into monsters, spirits, ancient creatures and immortal madmen, aliens from beyond our solar system, and now primeval horrors looking to devour them. The places you can visit range from your local bars to fantastical floating islands, hell, a realm of dragons and cities set so far into the future it would baffle the scientific and mythological mind.

What Does Your Affiliation Say About You?

  • Being a hero in the universe of Powerline Ultra, you fight for all that is right in the world! You oppose those who defy peace and prosperity in the world and fight for the right thing. Heroes tend to throw themselves at danger, making themselves a shield for the common person. Heroes are recognized as a government registered role in their communities. Famous heroes include Atlas Ekon, Tora Doragon, Hyper-Man, Recovery, Galvan and Reggie Sasaski.

  • You fight for personal gain, to take back what is rightfully yours! You will stop at nothing to annihilate those in your path to uphold any of your goals! Powerline Ultra villains tend to create danger in their wake, even if it means hurting the common person! Villains are registered as such and are classified as those who cause harm on a super human level which ranges from one extreme to another. Famous villains include Surveillance, King Rockhouse, Edmond Jones, Rampage and Nexus Darkmatter.

  • A civilian in Powerline Ultra tends to fight for their community and to protect themselves! Crafty, these imaginative fighters find themselves eventually fighting for one major cause or affiliation, rarely finding themselves in a purely neutral stance in the end. Civilians tend to be your everyday person, super powered or not, these fighters are not registered as a hero or villain but can find themselves working with one or another! Famous civilians include Valaris, Jim Thomas, Klash, Maximilian and Galvan

  • You fight for the right thing, but you aren’t going to let some rules tell you how to get the job done! You generally oppose villainy, but, you aren’t going to let them get out of this alive! Powerline Ultra Anti Heroes tend to do whatever it takes to save the day, usually refusing to listen to heroic figures on how to handle the job. Famous Anti Heroes include Di-Aryu, Mars, Igni Fanatus, Krampus and Ashara Orion

  • You are above the mortals beneath your very heel! Destiny awaits your hand and you must dictate how the tides of war flow! Whether a good god or not, that won’t matter at the end of the day, you have the touch, you have the power and most importantly, who can stop you?

    Famous gods include Shijiezhi Huo, Dawal Qamar, Noeshow Wobsacuck, Sharshaytan and Dios Kagubatan

  • Fighter, nothing will stop you from achieving greatness. You don’t need to settle on one fighter, you don’t need to align yourself one way or another as a person, but as a fighter, no matter what choice you pick, you will always be backed up by those in your community. There are OTHER Affiliations to join up with but are limited in print and quantity in the universe of Powerline Ultra, but I believe in you. I believe in your ability to take a stance. I believe in your ability to battle your way to victory. A wise alien once said: “Dreams save us. Dreams lift us up and transform us into something better.”. The dream of belonging will never die! Interpret that with what you will and prepare for battle!

F.A.Q.

  • Oh no! You don’t have cards to draw! Never fear! You will simply take all the cards in your attack discard pile, shuffle them and place them face down in your Deck Zone. This becomes your brand new deck of which you draw cards from, however, let’s assume you have no cards in your deck zone and you cannot pull cards from your attack discard pile, you will then automatically lose the round!

  • As of 4/18/2026, your deck MUST include the following:
    x1 Fighter Card

    x1 Stage Card

    x38 (or more) Attack and/or Utility cards

    (optional)

    x1 Ultimate Card

    x1 Critical Subtype card

    Outside these specific restrictions, you can have up to x3 copies of any card in your deck so long as you follow the restrictions of the Limited/Immortalized list.

  • It’s very much a first in, first out type situation. In order, if you want to be technical, it’s this:
    Stage abilities, Your Rivals Fighter abilities, your Fighter abilities, then any other outside abilities you control during the time of activation (your choice of order in this case), finishing off with your currently played card abilities, then calculate any and all math to your base DMG value if you are indeed attacking, then apply DMG if you are indeed attacking. During any point of this sequence, before or after, you can activate a counter utility card, or if you have a counter attack; anytime during an attack being played, even one of your own or a counter attack being played.

  • DURING YOUR TURN:
    - (When you attack, including counter attacking)
    Power-Up: Flip 1 or more cards with a matching subtype as the card you played to increase the base DMG of the attack by 1 for every card flipped down this way by this instance.


    DURING YOUR RIVALS TURN:
    - (Before you take DMG from an attack)
    Parry: Flip down 2 cards with a matching subtype as a current attack in play to reduce the final DMG of the target attack to 0. Can be done mid combo!

    A card that is face up is active. A card that is face down is inactive.

  • A shop token doesn’t do anything on it’s own. A token functions exactly like counters in games like Magic The Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh! A token is a marker placed on an card or player that modifies its characteristics or interacts with a rule or ability based on abilities within a game of Powerline Ultra.
